Surprise Zen

Originally a no man’s land for abandoned toys and items headed
to Goodwill, this corner yearned to be a yoga studio.

Textural highlights of the space include a Rejuvenation basket, Chule wool throw, CB2 meditation pillow, and a staghorn fern—plants are always a good idea.

The bookcase was curated with book titles that double as intentions alongside other mood-setting objects like sage to support her practice. T.J. Anderson wooden bowl (on display).

Niceties like a pitcher of water and silk eye mask are at hands reach, and surfaces to prop up any necessary technology for online classes or musical accompaniment are established (but not pictured).

Together, the yogi of the house and I sourced items large and small to assemble a room that echoed the same calm-neutral-layered aesthetic of the rest of the home.
